The Municipality of South Huron has cancelled all outdoor municipal programs for today, July 15th, because of an air quality warning issued by Environment Canada for Huron and Perth counties.
The following facilities are closed for the rest of the day:
- Exeter Pool
- Kirkton Pool
- Victoria Park Wading Pool
- Port Blake Day Park
Sports fields, ball diamonds, soccer fields, parks, and playgrounds remain open. However, the municipality is asking residents to follow advice from Huron Perth Public Health and limit outdoor activities if possible.
Residents looking for a place to cool off can visit the Exeter or Kirkton-Woodham libraries during regular hours, or the South Huron Town Hall and South Huron Recreation Centre, which are open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
