Huron Hospice is inviting the community to its 10th Annual Butterfly Release on Sunday, August 30th, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the gardens at Bender House.
The annual event gives families and friends a chance to remember loved ones by releasing butterflies, which symbolize hope, renewal, and transformation.
The afternoon will include a special ceremony where the names of loved ones will be read aloud. After the ceremony, participants can release their butterfly at the hospice gardens or take it home to release in a place that is meaningful to them.
Money raised through the event will support Huron Hospice’s palliative care, grief, and bereavement programs for families across Huron County.
Butterflies are $40 each and can be purchased online through the Huron Hospice website.
