The Huron County Fire Chiefs have lifted all fire bans that were put in place because of wildfire smoke and poor air quality.
The bans officially ended today after recent rainfall and improved conditions across the county.
Residents can once again have outdoor fires, as long as they follow their local municipal bylaws and obtain any permits that may be required.
Fire officials are reminding everyone to burn safely by never leaving a fire unattended, keeping water or firefighting equipment nearby, making sure fires are completely out before leaving, and following all local burning regulations.
The Huron County Fire Chiefs are thanking residents for their patience and cooperation while the fire bans were in effect.
