Time for another look at who has entered the race for this fall’s municipal election in South Huron
People interested in running for council can file their nomination papers until 2 p.m. on Friday, August 21st. The official list of candidates will be confirmed by the Municipal Clerk no later than Monday, August 24th.
So far, three people have filed to run for Mayor. They are Maureen Cole, George Finch, and Ted Oke.
For Deputy Mayor, Jim Dietrich has filed nomination papers.
In both Ward 1 and Ward 2, three candidates have filed to run for council.
Additional candidates may still enter the race before the nomination deadline. The certified list of candidates will be released after nominations officially close.
