The Municipality of South Huron has added new Park Lending Boxes at community parks in Dashwood and Crediton to help families stay active and have fun outdoors.
The boxes are filled with free sports and play equipment, including balls, skipping ropes, frisbees, and badminton sets. Visitors can borrow the equipment while they are at the park and return it before they leave so others can enjoy it too.
The municipality is asking everyone to treat the equipment with care and help keep the boxes clean and organized. Returning the items after use will help keep the program available for the whole community.
The Park Lending Box program was made possible with funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
