A Hensall man is facing impaired driving charges after police say he drove into an active collision scene in Lambton Shores.
Lambton County OPP were investigating a serious crash on Lakeshore Road near Cedar Point Line on July 30th. The road was closed while officers worked at the scene.
Police say the driver went around the barricades and entered the closed area. Officers then stopped the vehicle.
As a result, a 65-year-old of Hensall has been charged with impaired driving with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, as well as driving on a closed highway.
OPP reminds drivers that alcohol or drugs can make it unsafe to drive, and officers continue to focus on removing impaired drivers from local roads.
