The Bayfield and Area Food Bank is asking the community for help as its food supplies are running low.
President Laurie Hazzard says the upcoming Bayfield Fair parade is important for the food bank.
She noted the community always steps up when it matters.
Hazzard says the food bank is especially in need of high-protein foods, including canned tuna, salmon, ham, chicken and other canned meats. Peanut butter and pork and beans are also needed.
The food bank is also looking for volunteers.
Volunteers can choose how much time they want to give and what jobs they would like to do.
Hazzard says the Bayfield community has always been generous and continues to play an important role in helping the food bank support local families.
