The annual 90.5 myFM All Hands on Deck Back-to-School Food Drive is returning August 20th, from 10am to 6pm, to help local families prepare for the new school year.
This year, donations will be collected at Sobeys in Grand Bend, Hansen’s in Exeter, Foodland in Exeter and a new location at Foodland in Forest.
myFM Account Executive Tracey Alexander says it is so important to help keep local food banks stocked.
Alexander says food donations are about more than pasta and cereal. Having nutritious food for school lunches can help children stay focused and ready to learn throughout the day.
Alexander says the food bank is in high need of many items.
The food drive is also looking for volunteers.
