Labour Day is coming up on Monday, if you’re making plans, it’s important to remember that many local businesses have given their employees a much deserved day off.
Store Hours and Closures:
Hansen’s Independent Grocer in Exeter will be open from 7am – 9pm, Foodland in Exeter plans to operate from 7am – 8pm, ensuring locals can grab any essentials. In Grand Bend, Sobeys will be open from 7am to 10pm and Food Basics will be open 8am to 9pm. It’s best overall to confirm specific opening hours with individual stores if you need to jet out and grab anything.
Government and Services:
Government offices, banks, libraries, and municipal services will be closed for the holiday. LCBO and Beer Store locations will also be closed.
Healthcare Services:
Emergency departments will stay open, though some outpatient clinics might be closed. Emergency services will still be available for those who need them.
School will officially open on Tuesday as kids start a new school year. A reminder to watch for school buses and walkers returning to our roadways and sidewalks.
