Exeter is getting ready to take part in this year’s Terry Fox Run on Sunday.
The event raises money for cancer research and is open to everyone in the community.
So far, more than $15,000 has been raised toward Exeter’s $55,200 fundraising goal.
The run will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at MacNaughton Park. Participants on bikes or rollerblades can take part in the five-kilometre route, while everyone else can complete the 10-kilometre route. Distances will be clearly marked.
The route is also accessible for wheelchairs, bikes and rollerblades.
Organizers are encouraging people of all ages and abilities to come out, take part and help raise money for cancer research.
