It’s Crabby Joe’s game day! The Exeter Hawks face off against Alymer tonight at 8pm at the South Huron Recreation Centre in Exeter.
The Exeter Hawks are hoping to make a deep playoff run this season, and forward Harrison Meulensteen is excited to be part of it.
Meulensteen, is entering his second season with the Hawks and his final year of junior hockey.
He says the team is coming together well early in the season, despite having several new players.
The Hawks are working on building chemistry and making sure the new players feel part of the group.
Meulensteen says the team is also looking to learn from last season, when the Hawks were eliminated by Mount Brydges.
For Meulensteen, winning is a big goal in his final season, but he is also looking forward to spending another year with his teammates.
He says the Hawks have some of the best fans in junior hockey, especially on Friday nights at the South Huron Recreation Centre.
He is encouraging Hawks fans to bring that same energy to the rink this season.
Meulensteen says the team is ready to have a strong season and hopes to make a run at a championship.
