TODAY: You are invited to Coffee and Care. Jessica’s House Hospice welcomes you to a supportive space where grief is welcome and connection begins. Come enjoy coffee and meaningful conversation with others in the community. This monthly drop-in group offers a compassionate environment to share, listen, learn, or simply be present with others who understand. Second Wednesday of each month, 1:00–2:30 PM. Lucan Library. No registration needed.

TODAY: Coffee, Cards & Checkmate/ Shuffleboard. Join at the Dashwood Community Centre on Wednesday afternoons from 1:00pm – 3:30pm for Coffee, Cards & Checkmates/Shuffleboard! Whether you love Euchre, Pepper, Cribbage, Chess, Checkers, or a friendly game of shuffleboard, there’s a place for you. Enjoy coffee, great conversation, and a welcoming atmosphere where all skill levels are encouraged to join the fun.

TODAY: Seaforth Library – Knitting and Crochet Group Love knitting, crocheting or crafting, and enjoy good company and conversation? Join this community led program! Everyone is welcome to participate. This is a drop-in program, no registration necessary.

TODAY: Public Skating (STA). FREE public skating at the Stephen Arena on Monday & Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 3:50 PM. No pre registration required, skate aids are available. Public Skating Rules:

Maintain reasonable control of your speed, course and direction. Do not skate in groups. Do not stop where you obstruct other skaters.
No speed skating, figure skating maneuvers or hockey equipment such as sticks and pucks are allowed on the ice.
Parents/Guardians must be within sight and control of their children. Do no leave children unattended.
Ice skates required – no street shoes.
Ice skates are sharp. Do not have your hands on the floor or on the ice where they can be stepped on by a blade.
Children aged 10 and under must wear a CSA-certified hockey helmet at all times. Helmets are strongly recommended for all other participants.
Maintain a proper lookout to avoid other skaters, objects, or conditions on the ice surface. Report any hazards to arena staff.
No skating while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or other control impairing substances.
Leave the ice surface when resurfacing maintenance is taking place. Keep exits clear and do not sit on the dasher boards. Before getting on the rink, look for oncoming skaters.
No food or drink on the rink surface or surrounding dasher or cap rail.
Do not carry children or items while skating.
No headphones are to be worn or use of PDA’s or cellular phones used while skating.
Do not act in a manner that may cause or contribute to injury of yourself or any other person.
Do not throw or leave objects on the rink surface.
Report any injuries or accidents to staff prior to leaving the facility.
Please respect your facility.

TOMORROW: Card Night 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm Drop into the Blyth Branch each Thursday for an evening of cards. Play a familiar game of cards, or learn a new one, and have some fun at the library! This program is for Teens 13+ and Adults. This is a Drop-in program. No registration is necessary.

TOMORROW: Tiny Tots Playtime. Join at the Dashwood Community Centre on Thursday mornings from 9:00am – 11:00am for Tiny Tots Playtime. This is a fun, unstructured play program where little ones can explore, play, stay active and interact with other children. Activities include kid friendly sports equipment, building blocks, mats, crafts, puzzles, and more, providing plenty of opportunities for active play, creativity, and social interaction while parents and caregivers connect and enjoy time together.

TOMORROW: Jessica’s House Hospice – Mourning Walking Group. This contemplative walking group invites individuals who are grieving any type of loss to spend time in nature, find moments of reflection, and connect with others who understand the journey of grief. Whether you prefer quiet contemplation or gentle conversation, participants are welcome to walk at their own pace in a compassionate, supportive, and non-judgmental environment.

TOMORROW: Seaforth Library – Teen Art Studio Every Thursday evening join at the Seaforth Library for a casual sketch night. 6:30-7:30pm Basic supplies provided, or bring your own. No sign-up. No stress. Just show up and sketch! For teenagers 14-19, or entering high school.

TOMORROW: Job Fair – Community Living South Huron. We’re hiring! Join us for our upcoming Job Fair! When: Thursday, October 1st from 10:00am-12:00pm and 2:00pm-4:00pm Where: 392 Main St. S., Exeter, Ontario Why: We are currently hiring for Direct Support Worker roles. If you are looking to make a difference in your community, this might be the opportunity for you!

TOMORROW: Craft and Connect (formerly Crochet for a Cause). Come join for a fun and relaxed social where all crafters are welcome to start a new project, complete an ongoing project or just to get out and socialize with crafting enthusiasts! One key element of the program is to crochet blankets to support local agencies in helping those in need. No registration is necessary. Drop in.

Exeter Hawks:

The Exeter Hawks will hit the ice three times this week, visiting Thamesford Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., before hosting Port Stanley Friday at 8 p.m. and again Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the South Huron Arena.
