Families and runners are invited to hit the trails THIS weekend for the RRHC Woodland Walk and Run.
The event is being hosted by Role Response for Healthy Children at the Morrison Dam Conservation Area.
Executive Director Katrina Clarke explains the event.
The event is a new version of the former Run for Kids, which ran for about 16 years in different communities and formats.
Clarke says the organization decided to rebrand the event and make it an RRHC event, while leaving the door open for future Run for Kids events.
The Woodland Walk and Run is open to people of all ages and fitness levels. Clarke says it is not just for serious runners.
The event will include something for everyone.
Registration is available ahead of time online, but people can also register the morning of the event starting at 8 a.m. The walk and run begin at 9 a.m.
The event will go ahead rain or shine.
