Construction is continuing along Main Street in Exeter as crews move into the next stage of the roadwork project.
The contractor has finished installing the watermain, services and road base on the east side of Main Street between Wellington Street and Hill Street.
Work has now started on the watermain between Hill Street and MacNaughton Drive.
Crews are expected to begin preparing for curb installation on the east side of Main Street as early as Friday.
One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open on Main Street while work continues on the east side of the road.
The Municipality of South Huron says local businesses remain open and access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout construction.
Drivers should expect delays and plan ahead while traffic lanes are reduced.
The municipality is thanking residents and businesses for their patience and understanding.
