Four trees in Clan Gregor Square will be removed next week as part of work to keep the park safe for the community.
The trees were recently reviewed and found to have a high level of decay, creating a safety concern.
Crews are expected to be at the Square this week to remove the trees. People walking near the area are asked to use caution while the work is taking place, as large equipment will be on site.
The good news is the trees will be replaced. Four large spaded trees will be planted in their place. Unlike smaller saplings, spaded trees are planted with larger root balls, which can give the trees a better chance of surviving after they are planted.
The replacement trees will help keep Clan Gregor Square green for years to come.
