The Exeter Food Bank is the myFM Community Partner for the month of October.
Food Bank Manager Laurie Clapp is reminding the community that local families continue to rely on its support.
She tells myFM what the food bank does to support the community.
Clapp says the food bank is looking for more volunteers.
The food bank says extra help on delivery days would be especially useful, as some of the regular volunteers are seniors and could use help with heavier items.
There are also several food and household items that are always needed.
She says one thing they are in constant need of is toilet paper.
The food bank is also planning a food drive in November, usually held around the week of the Santa Claus Parade. The event is held with the South Huron Firefighters and local Scouts.
Anyone who would like to volunteer, donate or learn more can contact the Exeter Food Bank by email at exeterfoodbank1@gmail.com or by text at 519-860-4104.
Clapp say they could not provide this support to local families without the help of the community.
