Exeter is getting ready for a night of Halloween fun, with costumes, candy, face painting and a chance for the community to come together at the annual Jack O’Lantern Jamboree.
Caroline Hill, manager of the Exeter BIA, says this year’s event will include the return of the pet costume parade, along with activities for the whole family.
The pet costume parade will begin at 5:30 p.m., led by Willis. There is still time to enter a pet in the parade, with registration open until Thursday. People can sign up through the events page at ExeterOntario.com or the BIA’s Facebook page.
The fun doesn’t end with the parade acording to Hill.
Hill says the event continues to grow, and the BIA is always open to ideas that could make it even better in the future.
People who want to enter a pumpkin are encouraged to register online or through Facebook. A map showing the pumpkin displays will be shared on social media Friday. Anyone who decides to bring a pumpkin without registering is still welcome to take part, although it may not be included in the official voting.
Hill says the event is a great chance for people to dress up, enjoy some Halloween treats and spend time with others in the community.
The Jack O’Lantern Jamboree takes place Saturday, with activities beginning at 5 p.m. at Exeter Town Hall.
