Norfolk County voters will have another chance to meet municipal election candidates and ask questions before heading to the polls.
Community Living Access is hosting two All Candidates Meet & Greets at its office at 89 Culver Street in Simcoe.
The first runs today from 1 to 3 p.m. and will feature mayoral and Ward 5 candidates. The second takes place Friday, October 23 from 1 to 3 p.m., featuring candidates from Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7.
Unlike a traditional debate, the events will have a more informal and accessible format. Residents can speak one-on-one with candidates, learn about their platforms and ask questions directly.
Executive Director Tricia Morris says the goal is to help people make informed decisions.
“We believe everyone’s vote matters,” Morris said, adding the format worked well during federal and provincial election events last year.
Community Living Access has supported adults with developmental disabilities in Norfolk County for more than 35 years.
Several candidates have already confirmed they will attend the events, which are free and open to everyone in the community.
