Central Huron is receiving nearly $196,000 from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) for hosting Gateway Casinos Clinton.
The municipality will receive $195,833 for the second quarter of the 2026-2027 fiscal year, covering July 1st to September 30th.
So far this fiscal year, Central Huron has received $408,337 in casino revenue payments.
Since Gateway Casinos Clinton opened in August 2000, the municipality has received more than $15.5 million.
The payments are based on a formula that considers casino revenue. The money can help the municipality support local priorities and improve the community.
Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson says the payments give Central Huron a share of casino revenue to invest in the community. She adds that gaming facilities can support local jobs, investment and economic activity.
