Grand Bend is getting ready for a day of Halloween fun, shopping and local food as the Fall Into Grand Bend Passport event wraps up on Halloween.
The event has brought together 21 local businesses, giving shoppers a chance to explore the community, collect passport stamps and enter to win prizes.
Nicola Harney, General Manager of the Grand Bend Chamber of Commerce, says the response has been great.
The final day of the event will take place on Saturday, October 31st, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with more than 20 shops and businesses expected to be open along Main Street and nearby areas around Ontario Street.
Families can enjoy trick-or-treating along Main Street while shopping at local stores.
There will be a trunk-or-treat, along with a market at Colonial Hall featuring more than 20 vendors selling a range of items for adults and children.
Harney says the event is free and open to everyone, with no registration required. Families are encouraged to dress up, enjoy the activities and spend time together outdoors.
She also hopes the event encourages people to keep supporting local businesses throughout the year, not just during special events.
Harney says the Chamber of Commerce is always available to help people find local shops and services.
The Chamber is encouraging residents and visitors to come downtown, enjoy the Halloween activities and help support the businesses that make Grand Bend unique.
