A local woman is preparing to celebrate a special milestone this Halloween, and she hopes the community will help make it one to remember.
Evelyn is celebrating her 100th Halloween this year, and her great-granddaughter, Kyleigh, is hoping to welcome 100 trick-or-treaters to her home at 436 Marlborough Street in Exeter.
Last year, the pair asked for 99 trick-or-treaters to mark Evelyn’s 99th Halloween.
Kyleigh says the community’s support last year was incredible, and this year’s response has been even bigger.
Evelyn has faced health challenges and Kyleigh says the experience has reminded her how important it is to cherish every moment together.
She says she wants to make each Halloween bigger and better, especially knowing there is no guarantee of another year.
Kyleigh is inviting trick-or-treaters to stop by between 5 and 9 p.m. on Halloween night. She says the goal is to make the evening special for Evelyn while giving local children a fun and memorable experience.
