The South Huron Hospital Foundation asked the community to help them raise $58,200 during their annual Radiothon (Friday)…and they came through with flying colours.
Executive Director Krista McCann told our Chris Soares, who was the onair host for the event, that this is a mandatory fundraiser every year.
McCann says they request funds for their their most needed items each year.
The 25-thousand dollar boost from the Hospital Auxiliary was just as exciting for them to give, as the Foundation to receive, according to Co-President Elaine Keller.
Keller says they raise money in many different ways.
The day got off to a great start with a 25-thousand dollar donation from the South Huron Hospital Auxiliary and a 5,000 dollar donation from Skillen Investment Management…and the donations rolled in all day reaching a total of $71,942 by the time the Radiothon ended.
