Middlesex County OPP responded to a call from a parent on Monday about a threat against North Middlesex High School.
The concerned parent got a text message suggesting that unknown persons planned on committing a violent act at the school.
Police were at the school Tuesday to ensure nothing happened and so far the threats are unsubstantiated.
Constable Max Gomez said in a release that police and the school administrators worked together to investigate and the OPP is committed to ensuring learning environments are safe for all students.
Gomez would continue to say that if the threats prove to be a hoax the OPP is committed to holding people responsible.
Anyone with any information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
