August 2nd will be a sad day for Huron County council as it will be the last official meeting for CAO Brenda Orchard. Orchard has taken on the role of CAO for Lennox and Addington in Eastern Ontario.

GODERICH MAYOR TO PARTICIPATE IN LOCAL PRIDE PARADE

The Municipality of Kincardine will have its first-ever Pride Parade this weekend. The event begins Saturday at 11AM from Connaught Park, and follows a route to Victoria Park downtown. An area politician has accepted an invitation to march in the Kincardine Pride Parade.

IRATE MAN FACES CHARGES AFTER GRAND BEND INCIDENT

On Wednesday just before noon, Lambton OPP officers were called to a disturbance at the Grand Bend by-law office. Police say that a male went to the office to dispute a $35 parking ticket, and it's alleged during the despite the man became irate, threatened and then assaulted a by-law officer.

SOUTH HURON THEFT

Huron County OPP officers along with the Huron OPP Property Crimes Unit are investigating a break, enter and theft that took place in South Huron. Police say that between 7 PM on June 16th and 5 AM on June 17th, suspected broke into a commercial building located on Grand Bend Line.

WORLD REFUGEE DAY A BIG SUCCESS IN GODERICH

The rain didn't dampen the spirits of those attending World Refugee Day commemorations in Goderich. The Tuesday event was sponsored by the Multicultural Association of Perth-Huron and drew Syrian refugees and members of local sponsorship organization.
