Bayfield residences are being warned to stay away from a patch of Giant Hogweed along the bank of the Bayfield River. Giant Hogweed has a large, flat-topped or slightly dome-shaped flower as well as a seed head and a bumpy or bristly stem. Giant Hogweed can be a serious health hazard for humans.

Your drive through Shipka could be slowed down in the coming months. South Huron Council is recommending the speed limit along Shipka Line, just south of Crediton Road be reduced 20 km/hr.

Several residents are sounding the alarm over safety concerns at Victoria Park in Exeter. Sharon Chappel says shes talked to a few people who frequently visit the park who say children can run out into the street in an instant.

OFFICIALS SAY UNTREATED SEWAGE IN GODERICH MADE ITS WAY INTO LAKE HURON

For the first time since February 2009, untreated sewage in Goderich has flowed into Lake Huron. On the 15th and 16th of June massive amounts of storm water runoff mixed with treated effluent, forcing what is called a sewage bypass situation.

POLICE RECOVER TWO STOLEN TRUCKS, ONE STILL MISSING FROM SOUTH HURON HOME

Huron County OPP are searching for a stolen truck, after two others were taken from different residences in South Huron. Police say around 5:30am Sunday, someone stole a GMC Sierra Heavy Duty pickup truck parked in the driveway of a home along Hern Line.
